A beautiful location

From 1974 to 1976, the church was again thoroughly restored according to plans by architects Harry and Pieter Koene. On 2 April 1976, the Episcopal Vicar Msgr L. Meertens reopened the Awwestiene, which was then opened for cultural events. From 1991, the building served as an association and rehearsal venue for the Mastreechter Staar. Around 1998, the building was stripped of its remaining church inventory, after which the church was rented out several nights a week as a discotheque called NightLive. Until June 2014, the church was set up as a children's playroom FunVille with a catering facility (including a terrace on Mariastraat).

In 2015, the church will be rebuilt. Rebelle was born.
